... the Sunshine State. More
and more vacationers are flocking to the south of the
USA to enjoy Florida vacations.
Known as the 'Sunshine State', it is also the home of
the world famous Walt Disney
World. With Florida vacations
now within most people's financial reach (as
Florida villas provide
cheaper alternative accommodation)
it is little wonder that Florida
vacations are becoming increasingly popular. With
many Orlando
villas in the Davenport
and Kissimmee areas and Disney
villas close to the parks being
available for Disney vacations,
Disney World continues to become the number one Florida
holiday choice. Although Orlando
vacation rentals may be the most popular, Florida
Keys vacation rentals, with the Keys' golden sand
coastlines, are attracting more and more visitors too.
Our Florida
beach rentals include Key
West vacation rentals, as well as Gulf
Coast vacation rentals so you can enjoy all Florida
has to offer.
Florida is not
called the 'Sunshine State' just for fun. Indeed, the
'St Petersburg Evening Independent' newspaper has given
its daily editions away free the day after any sunless
days! (And this doesn't happen too often!) The north
of the state (known as the Panhandle) does get freezing
temperatures during winter but this is rare elsewhere
in the state. Miami's temperatures on the other hand,
which is in the south of Florida, rarely falls below
70 degrees.
Florida has an
abundance of attractions with the likes of Disney World,
Sea World, Universal Studios, Busch Gardens and Cypress
Gardens. But we shouldn't forget the more cultural,
scientific and historic sites that Florida can offer.
Naming but just a mere few, there is Kennedy Space
Centre, the Florida State Museum, the Everglades National
Park, Manatee Springs State Park, Suwannee River State
Park, Blue Spring State Park (which has one of the US's
largest first-magnitude artesian springs and which is
also a favourite winter refuge for manatees). For those
that like art and culture there is the Salvador
Dali Museum in St. Petersburg. For historians a visit
to the 'Old City', St Augustine, is a must called
this name because it is the oldest city in the United
States.
