The VillaPrince William is a charming 1840s, Greek Revival, 16-room home with two rear wings located on a hill overlooking the Annapolis Basin and the Raquette. This large clapboard and gingerbread house is furnished with a variety of antiques and retro furniture yet offers all the modern amenities.
Location
The house is situated in a very quiet area with its large
treed lot and stone walls, maintaining a country atmosphere
of times past. It is up the hill from the active village fishing
wharf and marina, the artists' co-operative and the village's
main street shops and restaurants. A short drive will bring
you to the ferry to St John (New Brunswick), Annapolis Royal
(established 1605) with its world class farmers’ and artisans’
market and historical sites and gardens, and to the quaint
historic village of Bear River, half built on stilts over
the river.
The town of Digby is central to many activities, including
many historic sites such as Port Royal (1604) and Fort Anne
(1629), some of the best whale watching in North America,
National and Provincial parks, long sandy beaches, hiking
and bicycling trails, sailing and kayaking, and a Sir Stanley
Thompson masterpiece, the Digby Pines Golf course. Known as
the scallop capital of the world, and nominated Canada‘s most
romantic spot by Canadian Living magazine, Digby offers spectacular
vistas of the Annapolis Basin, mild weather, clear crisp air
and, of course, the incredible Bay of Fundy tides (28 to 35
feet).
