The Villa
A self-contained, cottage-style apartment with private terraces, situated in the very heart of a traditional Turkish Cypriot village, within walking distance of shops, restaurants and mountains.
Location
Ozankoy is centrally situated within North Cyprus and just 3 miles from lovely Kyrenia (Girne). Nearby are lovely beaches and magnificent mountains, plus unspoilt countryside and olive groves. By car visit the Karpas Peninsula; a unique blend of vast, deserted golden sand beaches, turquoise sea, undulating fields, and nature reserves, where wild donkeys roam freely. The Karpas sunsets are some of the most spectacular in the world. For culture and shopping, wander the streets of old Nicosia, and soak up the atmosphere of a time gone by.
Accommodation
Poet's Cottage is completely self-contained and has good
accommodation for four adults, plus a baby or toddler. The
large lounge is spacious and airy, with traditional wooden
shutters and tiled floor. There's a separate kitchen, and
spacious shower room with large shower, WC and washbasin.
One bedroom has a double bed; the other two singles. There's
also a cot.
The cottage's private terraces are perfect for sitting and
sipping a glass of wine, soaking up the sun, or al fresco
dining. Both have garden furniture. One terrace has flower
and cactus borders and shady grapevine canopy, and the other
has beautiful mountain and sea views.
Facilities
The lounge has a radio, gas fire, small library of paperbacks,
and comfortable seating. The kitchen has gas cooking facilities,
microwave, fridge/freezer, dining table and chairs, electric
toaster, iron and ironing board, and a good collection of
crockery.
The bedrooms are simply but comfortably furnished with beds,
duvets, wardrobes/chest of drawers, wooden shutters on the
window (main bedroom), plus portable fan. A cot is available.
All linen and towels are supplied and there's a weekly maid
service for two-week or longer visits. Car hire can be arranged,
and collection from the airport is free with car hire of 8
or more days. There's a small complex nearby with a large
swimming pool which is open to guests staying at Poet's Cottage.
