The Villa

A 4 bedroom property in a select development of privately owned luxury 2, 3, and 4 bedroom houses set in a stunning secluded setting on an 18-hole golf course. Souillac Country Club has a wealth of established leisure facilities on site and is the ideal base from which to enjoy the sporting, cultural and historic highlights that the Dordogne has to offer. The picture shows a typical 4 bedroom property.

Location

The resort is situated 7 km from Souillac and the Dordogne River, 30 km from Sarlat and 25 km from Rocamadour.

The area around Souillac is known as Perigord Noir. Here the oak and chestnut foliage turns dark as the sun sets. This is also the home of truffles, the "black diamonds" of French cooking.

Above riverside villages, on the Dordogne, rise superb chateaux such as those at Biron, Beynac, Castlenaud and Montfort. Other exquisite villages, such as Salignac-Eyvigues, are guarded by powerful ancient fortresses.

Accommodation

The houses are arranged in small 'hamlets' each with its own heated pool. Many enjoy views of the golf course or the beautiful surrounding countryside.

Each spacious house is situated on an individual plot with its own parking spaces and furnished to a very high standard including:

Ground floor

• living room with phone, music systems, satellite TV and French windows opening onto a furnished terrace (gas BBQs can be hired)
• modern fitted kitchen/dining room
• one twin bedroom
• shower room with WC

First floor

• three further bedrooms (1 double and 2 twin)
• fully fitted bathroom with WC.

Central heating is provided plus, in selected properties, there are wood burning stoves.

Facilities

There is a wide range of facilities at the Country Club for all the family to enjoy including a superb restaurant and terrace bar; a spacious heated pool with jetspa; children's pool and play area; tennis courts; volleyball; boule; and the 18-hole golf course, driving range and putting green. Enjoy relaxing by the pool or playing a round of golf while our Kids Club team (July and August) entertains the children. In addition to the on-site facilities there is a wide variety of outdoor activities available in the immediate vicinity of the club, including walking, riding, cycling and water-based activities such as fishing and kayaking.

• 10% discount on the second week reserved (excluding July and August)
• Guests are entitled to a 20% reduction in green fees

A number of extras are available at additional charges:

• Travel cots and highchairs by prior booking at €20 per item per week.
• Gas fired barbecues at €50 per week
• Kids Club, available during July and August, is charged at €15 per session, subject to availability

To reserve a house, renters are required to pay a 30% deposit with the balance due 6 weeks before arrival.

Please note that a small local tourist tax applies between 02/07/05 and 26/08/05.
