The VillaSet in the hills overlooking a beautiful Umbrian valley, with uninterrupted views as far as Assisi, Casa San Gabriel is a collection of 4 rural Umbrian stone farmhouses dating back to the 16th Century. The property has a large garden, swimming pool and is equipped for both summer and winter rentals.
Location
The property is set among 3 acres of its own land, surrounded
by olive groves and wooded hillsides, giving guests the utmost
peace and tranquillity to relax and unwind, and the opportunity
to walk in the beautiful Umbrian countryside. Located in the
north of Umbria, on the Tuscan border, the property is well
situated to explore the numerous attractions of Umbria, Tuscany
and Le Marche and is only a 5 minute drive from the main E45.
The nearest town is Umbertide, famous for its weekly market,
while Perugia, Lake Trasimeno, Assisi, Gubbio and Cortona
are within a 30 minute drive.
Accommodation
There is accommodation for 10 in 3 totally independent cottages
which have recently been restored using all original and local
materials, including chestnut beams and terracotta tiles,
and furnished to the highest standard. Each cottage has a
fully equipped kitchen, central heating, bathroom with shower,
its own private terrace, with outside furniture and spectacular
views.
Il Fienile sleeps 4, in one double mezzanine-level bedroom
and one bedroom with bunk-beds.
La Cantina sleeps 4, in one double or twin-bedded room and
a double orthopaedic sofa-bed, located in the living room.
La Stalla sleeps 2 in a studio apartment.
Facilities
There is a 14.5m x 4.5m swimming pool situated on a terrace,
with sun beds and umbrellas, at the top of the property with
magnificent views across the valley. On the ground floor of
the main house there is a communal room. This includes a sitting
area with open fire, well-stocked library, Internet and telephone
access and a large internal and external dinning area. There
is a traditional, outdoor, wood-burning bread oven and the
guests are encouraged to try their hands at creating their
own pizzas. In addition there is a barbecue area, herb and
vegetable gardens.

Additional Information
The owners, Chrissie and David, who live on the property,
offer a very warm welcome to all their guests. They are available
to give on-site assistance and the following services: advice
on car-hire, flights and local transport, advice on places
to see and activities in the local area, book activities/tours/restaurants,
baby-sitting and grocery shopping.
In addition there is use of a communal laundry and the following
items are available to use, included in the price: child highchair,
child travel cot, child changing mat, and portable barbecue,
3 sets of golf clubs, picnic hampers and umbrellas.
