The Villa
Los Morontes is a luxury villa set in 4 acres on the top
of a mountain with commanding views of the Mediterranean.
It has 5 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, lounge, dining room, fully
fitted kitchen, garage, and amazing lipless pool.
Location
The villa is 5 minutes drive from the amenities of Mojacar
beach and village. Mojacar, the "Corner of Enchantment" is
a dazzling white village on a hill top facing the Mediterranean,
and is truly a town of contrasts. In the 15th Century the
town was permitted by the Reyes Catolicos to retain its Moorish
culture, which is still apparent today. A maze of Moorish
arches, narrow winding cobbled streets and stairways climbing
up and down the steep mountainside. Full of artisan shops
and commercial and artistic life by day and a lively meeting
point with bars and restaurants at night.
Approximately 1.5k from Mojacar Pueblo (village) is the Playa
(beach). The beaches are one of the major attractions of the
area and there are almost 17 km of them to explore. Long,
clean beaches combined with tiny coves which never have more
than a scattering of bodies even in peak summer months. There
are many quality restaurants and bars along the beach, as
well as a few late night drinking haunts which play music
long into the night.
Accommodation
The house is arranged over three floors, the ground, which
is accessed through the garage, the first floor, which is
accessed through the main entrance, and the first floor. All
floors are connected through the central marble staircase.
Every room with the exception of the garage has fantastic
views of the coastline.
On the ground floor, the main entrance to the house is accessed
through a patio, and leads to the main living area. You enter
through the main door into a spacious hallway that leads to
the open-plan lounge and dining room. The glass wall in the
lounge overlooks the lipless swimming pool that joins with
the sea beyond. The round dining area is situated beneath
a large dome and looks onto the outdoor terraces and the views
of the coastline. The lounge and dining area has access to
the garden, swimming pool and terraces. The terrace that leads
from the lounge and the kitchen is furnished with sofas and
another area for alfresco dining.
The kitchen is fully equipped with electric ceramic hob,
oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher, kettle, and juice
extractor. It is furnished with white cupboards and a double
stainless sink unit.
Also on this floor is the master bedroom with en-suite bathroom
containing separate shower and bath. The room contains a queen-size
bed and has a balcony overlooking the mountains and glass
double doors opening onto the terrace with views of the sea.
There is also a guest toilet with hand basin.
On the lower level are three further double bedrooms and
one twin room each decorated in a different style and with
glass double doors leading out to the lower garden area and
with fabulous views of the coast. There are also two further
bathrooms. At the lower level there is also a large garage
for up to 3 cars.
On the mezzanine level between the lower and ground floors,
there is a large laundry room containing a washing machine,
tumble dryer and ironing facilities.
The first floor is accessed by the magnificent yellow marble
staircase leading from the ground floor. It leads out onto
the solarium.
