We can help you plan your stay! Old Girona and stylish Figueres,
famous for Dalì museums and shopping. Medieval monasteries,
castles, villages and Spain’s impressive Greco-Roman coastal
ruins near Escala. To walk by these ruins along the stunning
sandy bay is heaven! Discover nature reserves, fishing villages,
rugged sea coves, canals and the picturesque bays of Cadaques,
Roses, and Estartit. Take riverboat tours, pleasure boats,
sea taxis and restaurant boats! Low-cost mountain biking and
sea sports centres nearby offer escorted dives/rides for youngsters
and beginners.
Sky diving, ballooning and parasurfing and a host of extreme
sports available. Riding, karting and quad biking all year
round. Visit the Sta Columna forest adventure activities centre,
or the Roses waterpark with giant wavepool and slides. World
famous arts and cultural festivals and free events every night
in the season. Horse riding, golf, karting, plus famous Costa
Brava night life; one local disco offers free 2 am Salsa workshop!
Visit Peralada's Casino and famous wine and olive oil co-operatives,
local markets for the freshest produce. Explore Pyrenean walks,
stunning panoramic views and mountain river rock pools.
Everything is within 30 minutes drive. 40 minutes away is
Divers paradise Medes Islands, sophisticated Begur and Costa
Brava south. Farther afield but do-able are: Barcelona, Port
Aventura (Spain's Disneyland), Andorra and Pyrenean ski stations.
Take the ski-lift in the summer for cool mountain walks. Pop
to France for lunch (Le Boulou 25 minutes) or visit famous
Carcassone, Cathar Castles towns, Ceret, Perpignan or Argeles
and other seaside resorts.
