Casa Ida
Property code:

The Villa

An old Canarian country house converted to make five small houses/units each with double bedroom, bathroom and combined living room/kitchen. Each one is equipped with central heating, satellite TV, electrical appliances, barbecue, laundry service and spare beds. Casa Ida is surrounded by gardens with fruit trees and native plants.

Location

Casa Ida is situated in "las medianias" (400m from the sea) which means the 'middle altitude zone', in the north-west of the island and far from the typical tourist resorts of the south. It is surrounded by protected areas of natural beauty such as Teno Rural Park, the Chinyero Nature Reserve Park, and the Cliff of la Culata protected area, which is where you'll find Casa Ida.

The property is just a few kilometres from the town and small fishing port of Garachico, dating from 1496. Of great beauty and surprising tranquillity, it is noted for its natural swimming pools, and restaurants where you can eat excellent seafood. Awarded the Gold Medal of Art, Garachico's narrow streets and shady squares are evidence of a strong conservationist spirit, where beautiful old colonial houses bear witness to their once-important owners who lived here in Tenerife's former principal port.

Only four kilometres away you'll find the seaside village of San Marcos with its pretty bay and volcanic black sand beach. A visit to the famous thousand year old Drago Tree is also a must. It can be found surrounded by other indigenous plants in the Drago Park at Icod de los Vinos, just three kilometres from Casa Ida.

Accommodation

The furniture and interior decoration are in rustic style, giving a pleasant and cosy atmosphere. Outside there are terraces with beautiful views of Mount Teide (3,718 metres) and over the seaside, which is ideal for bathing and sunbathing.

Facilities

Casa Ida has a common room with a variety of board games. For lovers of outdoor activities we can give advice on what the area has to offer.
